Fill & Tell Potty Calendar
Becoming diaper-free is a significant step in a child's development. As a parent, it's important to support and encourage without rushing the process. So how can you encourage in a concrete and educational way without going overboard?
In My Potty Calendar, the child can use stickers with symbols for pee and poop after each visit to the potty. It's a fun and clear way to support the child in potty training!
Children are very different. Some stop using diapers abruptly, while others take their time. Many children start peeing in the potty on day one but take longer to want to poop. My Potty Calendar features eight spreads with a weekly calendar on one side and corresponding illustrations on the other.
The idea for My Potty Calendar came to Karin Sundby when her son started using the potty. He had twin brothers at the same time, and the focus shifted to other things. He really wanted to, but he needed more encouragement from his parents. Eventually, they made a potty calendar together.
"We cut out pee and poop stickers that he could stick in every time he used the potty, and it was a success," Karin shares. "As soon as we had visitors at home, he would run and grab his potty calendar to show it off."
After the success at home, Karin decided to illustrate and publish a real potty calendar. Since its launch in the fall of 2013, many children have enjoyed a more fun way to potty train. Now, Fill & Tell is taking over the baton and launching an updated version.
